40 imagesThank you to all who celebrated with us at our third annual Kitten Nursery Shower on Saturday! We are so grateful for all the donations we received, which our Nursery kittens will use over the next few weeks as they get ready to find their forever homes. If you missed the Shower and would still like to donate items from our kittens’ wish list, please visit either our Coyote Point Shelter in San Mateo or Center for Compassion in Burlingame. You can also donate online at https://goo.gl/J7RikL Special thanks to the volunteers and foster parents who helped make this event such a great success and to Images by Aggie for the beautiful photos.

38 imagesWe all see nature around us during the daytime but what happens at night when the sun goes down? Do the trees foldup like umbrellas? Do all of the flowers close-up tightly? During my early morning walks I began to observe that city streetlights provide a very unique illumination of the natural beauty that appears to be hiding during the dark hours of a day. Expect where noted, all of these photographs were taken after sunset and before dawn. Due to the long exposures (in most cases 20-30 seconds) I had to ensure there was little to no wind. If a vehicle went by I had to wait until the draft settled before pressing the shutter. The black background is the night sky or a body of water reflecting the darkened sky. In a few images I was able to capture a star in the heavens or a distant streetlight. There has been minor cropping and very little enhancement to a few of the images.
